Greetings from Khelghar!

You are familiar with the efforts of Khelghar in the education of deprived children. The time has come for the appeal regarding the educational help of Khelghar Youth Group children.

Every child dreams of standing on their own feet and being independent. Higher education is one of the positive ways to make this dream a reality. Higher education helps them come out of poverty, ill-health, and many more evils in their lives. Khelghar is trying to help bring light into the lives of such children. Of course, this is possible only with the generous support of our friends and well-wishers like you.

For the last seventeen years, Khelghar has been assisting Khelghar children with higher education, enabling them to live respectably. We inform our children about many vocational courses after 10th grade so that they can earn and be independent as early as possible.

We are happy to share the success of some Khelghar children:

• Aakash Kartrawat has completed the second year of his Degree in Industrial and Systems Design at IIT Kharagpur.
• Pallavi Waghmare completed her M.Com. this year.
• 5 children are in their first year of completing a Vocational Software Development Course.
• 5 children are in their first year of completing the Mechanical Draftsman Fitter and Turner ITI Course.

This year, 18 children appeared for the SSC exam. All of them have cleared the exam. There are two children with scores above 75%, four children with scores between 70-75%, five children with scores between 60-70%, five children with scores between 50-60%, and two children with scores between 40-50%. We are currently counseling and helping them to select courses that match their capacity and interests. We have encouraged and supported them for the MSCIT course too, as this has become an important skill for any job. Fees for higher education are increasing substantially. Raising around Rs. 715,000/- for this year’s educational help is a challenge in front of Khelghar.

The support for these children is possible only through your backing. This year too, we look forward to your support. We are providing a list of children who need support for higher education. We have a policy to assess needs ourselves and then distribute funds through Palakniti Pariwar Trust. We are thankful for the friends who have already donated for this year’s educational help.
