Greetings from Khelghar!
For the past eighteen years, Khelghar has been dedicated to supporting the higher education of children from deprived backgrounds. Every child dreams of standing on their own feet and living with dignity. Higher education is one of the most powerful ways to make that dream a reality — helping them overcome poverty, ill‑health, and other challenges.
With your generous support, we have been able to bring light into the lives of many children. Last year, despite schools and colleges reopening late and students struggling to adjust, Khelghar provided motivation and guidance to help them continue their education.
We are delighted to share some of their recent successes:
- Aakash Khatrawat completed his degree in Industrial and Systems Design at IIT Kharagpur.
- Three children — one girl and two boys — have completed ITI courses in Mechanical Draftsman, Fitter, and Turner. All of them are now doing paid internships in MNCs. We are encouraging girls to pursue ITI courses, even though there is some resistance from parents and the girls themselves.
- Six children are pursuing graduation of Vocational Software Development courses and BBA.
SSC Exam Results (12 Students) – All cleared the exam – 100% success rate.
- 1 student achieved 72%.
- 6 students scored between 60 – 65%.
- 2 students scored between 55 – 60%.
- 3 students scored between 48 – 50%.
HSC Exam Results (12 Students)- 10 students successfully cleared the exam (83% pass rate).
- Science stream: 4 students scored between 48 – 55%.
- Commerce stream: 2 students scored between 50 – 60%.
- Arts stream: 2 students scored between 43– 49%.
- ITI/Vocational: 2 students scored between 46 – 60%.
We are currently counselling students to select courses that match their abilities and interests. We also encourage them to complete the MSCIT course, which is an essential skill for today’s job market.
Last year, 10 children completed the MSCIT course. This year, 12 children are enrolled in the course.
However, the rising cost of education is a major challenge. This year, we need to raise
Rs. 8,21000/- lakhs to continue supporting our children’s higher education. Your contribution will directly help them pursue their dreams and build a respectable life. Funds are carefully assessed and distributed through Palakniti Parivar Trust, following our educational policy.
We are deeply grateful to friends who have already donated. This is a special one! We are completing thirty years of our work. To celebrate this and the achievements of children, we invite you to communicate with our youth children and hear their stories at our ‘Thet Bhet’ on Sunday, 2 Aug 2026.
